Teacher, Gardener, Poet, Writer,
Empath

Picture
I was trained as a primary school teacher and took my first art lessons at age fourteen. I have always felt a deep and abiding connection to this land and gardening has been my passion. It was those very gardens that led me to a new concept of painting called "Garden Spirit Catchers."

I designed circle paintings to hang outdoors which honour and grace the gardens. Since I began these in 1998, well over a 1,700 have found their way to special garden sanctuaries around the world.  This was my first venture into helping people reconnect with this planet in a Spiritual way.  I wrote stories and poems telling how the elements of each painting helped us in our life journey and how these paintings formed a link between us and the garden.

I have always been drawn to things metaphysical. It was no surprise that I took courses in Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Body Talk and Reflexology.  A lifetime of practicing meditation, relaxation techniques and yoga led me to a deep understanding of just how strong our spiritual and emotional ties to the Earth really are.

With the onset of covid, I began a nightly online posting I call "The Evening Muse." It is based on my artwork, life on this land and insights from dealing with thousands of people throughout my life. You can find this on our Rural Rootz Nature Reserve facebook page.
