Stonewood Garden

. . .over the foot bridge
and through the archway . . .

This is the "full shade" garden at

This garden is entered though an archway built by our mentor and friend Ken Ingham, who completed it when he was 81 years old. All the stones you see here and throughout the garden have all been picked up within sight of the house.

In Stonewood Garden, we have an interesting variety of ferns and shade loving plants. This garden is named for a magnificent Ash tree on the east boundary and a stone archway on the west. Encircled by stone walls, there is a small story telling area surrounding a tiny fire pit as a focal point.
