We are proud stewards

Nature Reserve

where we bridge the gap between Spirit and YOU
in a Natural and Holistic Way
A Dream Come True
for Dee

I was trained as a primary school teacher and took my first art lessons at age fourteen.
I hold certificates in Reiki, Reflexology and BodyTalk.

A lifetime of
practicing meditation, relaxation and yoga led me to a deep understanding of just how strong our spiritual and emotional ties to the Earth really are.

I was called to this land in 1975 when it came up for sale. We moved from a century old cut limestone farm house on 25 acres
to an empty bush lot with no water,
electricity or buildings!!!

Together we built a dream.

Gentle on the Land
with Tom ...
I was schooled in engineering, trained
as a carpenter and became a gardener by choice. My prime directive is to keep human impact on the environment to a minimum.

After designing and building a passive solar home with a dry composting toilet,
I turned my skills to designing gardens
that are environmentally
friendly and sustainable.

At an age when most people retire,
I have come to share Dee's dream to create
a sanctuary for all who are seeking healing.
We call it ...

Rural Rootz!

Without faith and friends none of this would have been possible
All that you see when you come to Rural Rootz is our "hands-on" creation, from the buildings,
to the gardens, the labyrinths and now Dragons!!!
