Spirit Catcher's Story
The crowing of the Rooster at dawn is universally
recognized as heralding the return of the Sun and the banishment of the
night. For this reason, it is believed that Rooster walks the fine line
between this world and the other; the light and the dark.
The Rooster also represents a joyful and enthusiastic
approach to life. He symbolizes the pioneering spirit which is devoted
to work and the pursuit of knowledge. The Rooster is ever ready to
protect his flock but equally ready to investigate new and intriguing
situations which arise in his domain.
The Rooster rules the roost not so much by force as by
vigilance. He is ever aware of what is going on around him and ready to
react on a moment’s notice. His concern is for the good of the whole
before he considers his own needs.
The Chi
The energy this Spirit Catcher brings to the garden is
strong and powerful. On the one hand there is pride in the physical
aspect of the garden and its appearance. On the other hand is the wonder
at the mysteries of the “other side” where magic is but a blink
away.
(There really may be Fairies at the bottom of your
garden!)
