Spirit Catcher's Story
The Hummingbird is considered the messenger of joy by
the Anishnabe of North America. Their name comes from the vibrations of
their wings. We all know how good it feels to whistle while you work but
actually humming works better. It creates an internal massage which
restores health and balance. Follow the example of the Hummingbird and
when you find joy, sing it out loud! One is always filled with a sense
of wonder at these tiniest of all birds.
Hummingbirds have long bills and tongues which allow
them to extract the sweet nectar from the flowers. But while serving
their own needs, they are also doing pollination service for the plants.
That epitomizes the connection between cause and effect. Thereby
prompting us humans to examine the need to balance work with vision in
order to attain our goals.
The Chi
The energy of this Spirit Catcher is sure to spark joy
and beauty in the garden. It sanctions a love of life and pleasure in
the realm of Nature. Since this little creature has to fly wherever it
goes, it reminds us that if we truly enjoy what we are doing, our hearts
will take wing and our spirits will soar.
