When Kokopelli plays his song
A time of magic comes along.
He has a message in his tune
And all who hear it get a boon
Of living life from day to day
Where open hearts just love to play.

Spirit Catcher's Story

Kokopelli was a Toltec who came from the heart of Mexico. Although there are many legends about Kokopelli, they all have one thing in common. In legend he has come to personify kindness and gentleness. He was most noticeably portrayed carrying a large bag of belongings on his back and playing an Indian flute. In many of these portrayals it makes it look as if he was a hunchback. This reminds us that looks can be deceiving.

His music was said to be so sweet that it was able to bring out the best of the land in order to care for the people. The fertility that he brought to the land lives on to this day. There are ancient petroglyphs to honour him and his form is readily recognized by today’s modern world. Having Kokopelli visit was always a time of celebration and the tribe that welcomed him into their midst was truly blessed. He ranged from Colorado south to cover the entire Rio Grande Valley.

The Chi

This Spirit Catcher brings the energy of fertility to the garden. Not only does it call to the physical aspects of the garden but it also calls to the fertility of life. It encourages us to actively seek the magic inside ourselves.

Whatever you plan can be realized by dusting off the old limiting ideas. Magic is no more than a change of consciousness which is aided by using one’s talents in a fertile manner.
