Spirit Catcher's Story
According to the Ojibway, there were seven original
Clans, the third of which was named the Fish Clan. It was composed of
the intellectuals who were known for their constant pursuit of knowledge
and their practice of meditation. These peoples were sometimes called
'star gazers' for their ability to go beyond the surface of the mind and
become 'deep thinkers'.
The Ojibway assigned each of these Clans a unique
function to assist the people as a whole. If a deciding vote needed to
be cast. The Fish Clan members were the arbitrators who would settle
disputes between two Chief Clans
The three fish in this Catcher represent the need for
balance and harmony without taking sides. The fish has also been the
western world’s symbol for abundance ever since biblical times.

The energy of this Spirit Catcher addresses the need for
balance between the natural world and the everyday human world. Water is
the very lifeblood of the planet and the aspect of it through the spirit
of the fish brings peace and harmony to the garden.
Here the tranquility engendered by these 'Water Beings'
brings prosperity to the garden and thus also to the gardener who is
steward of this special gardening space.
